The One About Habits
Last year, on a girlie camping weekend, a discussion about what we’d do if we win the lottery was had. I decided I’d pay for hypnotherapy to break two bad habits that I’ve had for as long as I can remember, one of which was often commented upon by others, usually in jest but not always. “You don’t need to win the lottery to do that!” protested my friends.
A few weeks later, I found myself in a hypnotherapist’s chair. Three appointments later and I had made huge progress over both habits.
Twelve months later (and still in control of those two habits!) I found myself back at the same campsite with the same friends. No lottery talk this time. But it did get me thinking about what I might focus on this year.
During the weekend, I tried out some fabulous (if rather expensive) skincare products. I had to confess to the consultant that I really do nothing to take care of my skin! She advised a simple cleanse, tone & moisturise every evening.
So that’s what I plan to do. Every night if I can. Not breaking a habit this year, rather making a new one. (And not with the £85 cream she was pedalling!)
The good news is that I have til 2018 to succeed as there’s no camp next year 🙂
