The One About Action for Happiness (4th Jan)
I love the monthly wellbeing calendars from Action for Happiness.
January’s calendar is focussed on Happy New Year. I’ve decided to blog my progress through January’s actions.
Saturday 4th’s challenge was to write a list of things I feel grateful for and why.
1. My family. I’m lucky to have been able to have two fabulous children who drive me mad.
2. My friends. My Geeks and Goddesses. What the internet would call my tribe. They’re not friends because we have children similar ages. They’re friends because they’re amazing people who pick us up when we’re down and celebrate our successes with us. They love us as we are, and we love them too.
3. My health. OK, so I’m nearing 40 and some parts ache a little more than they should. But generally I’m well. I could be healthier, but so could most people. In a few weeks, I’ll have my annual pre-diabetes blood test as a result of gestational diabetes in my second pregnancy. Last year’s result was good, and showed I’m at low risk of Type 2. Hope the 2020 test is as good.
I’m sure if I kept writing I’d have a list of hundreds of things. I’m privileged to have a happy and comfortable life. And I’m very grateful for it.
